I woke up this morning to a light snow on the ground and lots of heavy thoughts rattling around in the old noggin'. Days like this just draw me to Neil Young. I think Neil sounds his best playing brooding and introspective, acoustic guitar driven songs (as is demonstrated by my selections for this playlist, which will most likely continue to grow over the next few days.)
You either love Neil or you hate him, I guess: I am proud to say I belong to the former category. If you like Neil, enjoy. If you do not, I am sorry. If you've never heard of him, please take the time to listen.
Wayf - I do not think I ever heard him before and I see why you like his music. Thank you for sharing it; will have to keep it in mind when looking for music to listen to in the future. Have a quiet, peaceful day - June
When the peace and love revolution of the late 60's came around, I am afraid I was already over 30 (they said back then that anyone over 30 was a part of the extablishment and untrustworthy) and never came to really appreciate the music of that time. Neil is pretty much like that.
There is a third category, like Neil Young OK but would not buy it. I like your music a lot better. Just might go out and buy some of that.

Hi, June!
I am glad you enjoyed these songs. Not all of Neil's music sound like what is represented here, though. He has approached a very eclectic and far-ranging category of musical styles over his career. The acoustic, folk-rock side of Neil Young is by far the best, in my opinion.
Off the top of my head, I think you would enjoy the albums "Harvest", "Harvest Moon", and "Unplugged", though there are definitely more acoustic albums that he put out.

Hello, Sinann,
I really came to appreciate Neil's music through the Harvest Moon album which came out in the mid to late nineties. I believe the humanity in Neil's music really shines through on that one. It is a much more personal reflection as a whole than a lot of the heavier stuff he did.

Hey Wayf! I Love Neil, his music was not only awesome but his lyrics has such a quality of words. He has something to tell you if you pay attention, and what a beautiful way to do it. Peace
I had a couple of peanut butter cups, and I thought I'd stop by and share them with you. Then I found you had all those Neil Young songs and I sat here groovin and I ate all the peanut butter cups. Well, there were only 2 of them but I was going to share...honest?

That's better than having a heavy snow and light thoughts.
Neil Young listening is good on any kind of day.
